Brukinsa Reviews

For Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia "I was diagnosed with CLL a little over 3.5 years ago at age 70. We were on a 'wait and see' routine up until about 6 weeks ago. My oncologist said I should go on treatment and he recommended Brukinsa. Being a little 'freaked' out about having to go on treatment, I contacted MD Anderson. My wife and I flew to Houston and had an array of blood tests done. 19 vials. The Dr. was very kind and patient and explained CLL and the clinical trials they are now conducting. I asked him what he would do in my situation, he said to stay the course on Brukinsa as it is one of the newest of the BTK inhibitors. So, for right now, I'm sticking to Brukinsa. As far as side effects, I haven't noticed any."

For Waldenström Macroglobulinemia "Was totally fatigued and had severe weight loss. Two weeks on Brukinsa, noticed the difference. Taking 160mg in the morning and 160mg in the evening. After taking these for one year, my weight is back to normal, no serious side effects, did have some bruising at the start. Healed quickly."

For Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia "Taking it since November 2023 for SLL. Within a week, all bulky adenopathy melted away with transient high lymphocyte blood levels, but normal range in a few months. I have mild fatigue and low immune function, but have not been ill otherwise. Constipation managed with Metamucil and diet changes. I noticed slightly increased bleeding during oral care and just noticed petechiae on my legs today, very minor. Labs have been good, but decreasing neutrophils, basophils, eosinophils. 160 mg bid"

For Mantle Cell Lymphoma "Brukinsa put me in remission within a 6-month timeframe of starting the treatment. Benefits are it has kept me in remission for almost 12 months. Very pleased with the results. As for side effects, I've experienced rashes, musculoskeletal pain, muscle spasms, fatigue, and occasional stomach constipation or diarrhea. I take 320 mg per day, 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening."

For Waldenström Macroglobulinemia "I have been using Brukinsa for over two years and I am now having difficulties with weight gain and lymphedema in my legs and feet to the point that I am having difficulties walking and getting in and out of a seat, especially in cars. I am looking for help with little success."

For Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia "Side effects come and go but are common, lasting a few hours or a couple of days, like joint and muscle pain, especially to areas that were previously injured. Otherwise, no problem handling them. Remission occurred in six months."

For Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia "I just started Brukinsa 3 weeks ago. I take 320 mg in one dose in the morning. It has not caused any discomforting symptoms. I had lab work done today, and my lymphocyte count went from 171 x 1000 down to 65 x 1000. My platelets are well within the normal range, but my hemoglobin went from 10 down to 9.5."

For Waldenström Macroglobulinemia "My doctor changed from Imbruvica to Brukinsa approximately 8 months ago. My IgM did improve slightly, but a terrible skin rash appeared all over my body accompanied with uncontrollable itching. I blame Brukinsa for that. I now need advice about what to take for my Waldenstrom's condition with fewer side effects."

For Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia "Continuing to work extremely well after one year. Some fatigue, and presently having persistent nasal congestion and sneezing, but not sure if it is from the medication. All of my blood counts returned to normal after one month, and have remained normal."

For Mantle Cell Lymphoma "I have been taking it for 7 months. There are no problems with side effects. I take 80 mg twice a day. There is mild depression of platelets, WBC, and a good neutrophil count. It works great, all tumors disappeared within 4 months."

For Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia "I started on Brukinsa on the 5th. I marked improvement in my headaches. I was on Imbruvica since March of 21, starting at 420mg and then reduced to 280mg in hopes of reducing headaches. There was no improvement, so I was taken off it totally on November 15th. I still have issues with bad headaches, but the intensity isn't as bad."

For Waldenström Macroglobulinemia "I have been taking it for 3+ months and have no bad side effects. It is reducing my M-spikes and most of my blood values have moved back into normal ranges. I couldn't be more pleased!"

For Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia "4 weeks so far so good. No side effects. Lymphs have gone down."

For Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia "Already 4 months on Brukinsa. All enlarged lymph nodes have disappeared. Very minor side effect - upper right foot skin sensitivity. So far, it has worked very well for me."

For Waldenström Macroglobulinemia "Taking it for over a year and I feel great. No side effects except some occasional bruising. IGM numbers are definitely lower than they were to start and approaching normal."

For Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia "At times, after taking Brukinsa, seem to feel tired."

For Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia "Rash on face after 1st month; I started to cough out blood after 8 weeks"

"Light headaches in the evenings, gas. Nothing major for the moment. Shrinking lymph nodes, shrinking spleen."

For Mantle Cell Lymphoma "Other than tingling of skin in my arms and occasional red spots that go away in about a week, I feel good."
