Crestor (rosuvastatin) "Crestor worked wonderfully in reducing my cholesterol. It worked quickly, and I was very happy with my lab results. Unfortunately, I had to stop taking Crestor because I developed severe muscle pain and aching in my legs, as I did with several of the other statin drugs."

"3 months ago [around mid-2024] I added Ezetimibe 10 mg (Zetia) to my usual 40 mg of Rosuvastatin (Crestor) and saw dramatic results. My cholesterol dropped from 215 to 178 (within normal limits), that's a 37-point difference, and my LDL dropped from 141 to 99, a 42-point difference (also within normal limits). This is the first time in 12 years that both of these values have been within normal limits, and I'm very happy. But I am also very skeptical about these results and will have this lipid panel retested within the next month (9-2024). If these values turn out to be accurate, then this is the combination of medications that I would definitely recommend. I have only been on Ezetimibe for 3 months with no side effects, and my CK is also within normal limits."
