Rosuvastatin for Hyperlipoproteinemia Type IIa, Elevated LDL Reviews

Crestor (rosuvastatin) "Since menopause, my LDL and non-HDL became stubbornly high despite diet changes (I had the advanced lipid and ApoB test as well). Finally, I agreed to take a statin. The doctor prescribed 5 mg rosuvastatin every other day. After 3 months, I got retested. Total 271 to 188, Trigs 68 to 66, HDL 81 to 69, LDL 173 to 106. I have had no side effects, but taking a low dose every other day."

Crestor (rosuvastatin) "I take 10mg Crestor EOD (Every Other Day). My cholesterol is 221, with HDL & Triglycerides normal, but an LDL of 169. 42 year old male, moderately active. The first 3 weeks were the worst, even taking every other day, with the brain fog and joint/muscle pain. But going on 2 months now, it has mostly resolved. I actually FEEL better after 2 months, I am not sure if high cholesterol can make you feel lousy, but I'm just stating I feel different in a good way. Side note: Crestor is supposed to lower your blood pressure a little too. Anyways, if this medicine bugs you, take it Every Other Day, or Every 2 days. It will still work good. It is a very strong statin. Best part, my insurance pays for it all! Cost me $0.00. If you want the benefits of statins, you have to take the bad with the good. The side effects will resolve, and aren't that bad. Stick with it!"
