I was prescribed nasonex to help battle chronic blocked nose, recommended by my ENT. It helped minimally but did not completely clear my symptoms. Then last night I experienced extreme palpitations and chest pain along with anxiety. I felt like I was going to die and was awake all night. Called my GP first thing this morning and he said to stop taking nasonex immediately. I wouldn't recommend due to the severity of the side effects!

After having a positive experience with prozac yrs ago I'd thought I'd give it another shot. Works great for my panic attacks. This isn't a fast acting drug, you have to give it time. 4 to 6 weeks to be fully active. So if your looking for a quick fix this isn't it. Be patient. Only side effect I've experienced was impotence which sucks but only occured on occasion. Most of the time was able to engage in sexual activities for hrs which isnt a bad thing.

I've suffered from GAD for 20 years, tried therapy but refused medical remedies. After the birth of our 2nd child in August, my OBGYN strongly encouraged Lexapro for my PPD, and feeling almost completely helpless, I was willing to give it a try. I now regret not trying this sooner- it has helped immensely but I still feel like myself and I don't feel like I'm on "drugs". As a test, I didn't tell my husband I was taking anything, and about a month after use, he commented how nice it had been to be around me the past few weeks. I no longer experience intense anxiety, I don't get mad at the little "things", I don't snap at my husband and kids, and I am far more efficient in my career. The people who write negative posts appear to have given up after a few days (which is when the side effects are most noticiable) or were poorly diagnosed for this drug. For people suffering anxiety and mood disorders related to stress, I cannot imagine anything better.

I have suffered no side effects.
