For Birth Control "The first birth control that I’ve been prescribed and no problems whatsoever. At first, I was skeptical because of the common side effects and the negative reviews, but this brand has made my periods shorter and lighter (and no babies haha). The only side effect I have gotten is my boobs growing in size, but I ain’t got a problem with that lmao. I would highly recommend giving it a try :) *I’ve been on it for a little over 3 months now*"
For Birth Control "I have had a great experience with this medication so far. I started Aviane (Levonorgestrel/Ethinyl Estradiol 0.1mg/0.02mg) a little over a month ago. I was prescribed by a telehealth care provider and was initially very skeptical because of all of the negative reviews here, but so far so good! I did get bloated the first 2-3 weeks and gained like 4 lbs in water weight, but I drank lots of water and ate clean and exercised regularly; now I am at my normal weight again. The first week I started, I did get some headaches, but nothing too bad. During the placebo week, I decided to skip the placebo pills and move on to my next pack to skip my period, but I started bleeding anyway and bled for about 10 days. I know that breakthrough bleeding is one of the side effects, so I was not too alarmed. My sex drive has been way better and my mood swings have kind of settled down. Please do not let these reviews scare you; try it for yourself. Each body is unique and reacts differently."
For Birth Control "I first started taking Aviane in 2005 when Alesse was no longer offered. I loved it then and I love it now. I have no complaints about it. I recently started taking it again two months ago and it works the same. Little side effects. What I love best is I have not gained any weight as I have before on other pills. So before you listen to anyone else do your research and try it out for yourself. Hope this helps someone."
For Birth Control "DO NOT USE! Not only does this birth control NOT WORK, it has horrible side effects, not just on me, but on my roommates who were also prescribed it. We went together and got prescribed Aviane for birth control. Since being prescribed Aviane, I've been extremely irritable, hormonal, angry, depressed, and I am easier to lash out on people for no reason. I've gained A LOT of weight and worst of all, I'm covered in cystic acne all over my face, neck, back, and thighs - sometimes on my bum too - I'VE NEVER GOTTEN ACNE BEFORE TAKING AVIANE!!! and on top of that, I'm 1 month pregnant, even though I took the pill every day, on time, exactly how I was supposed to. My roommates have experienced all the same things. One of them got pregnant 2 months after they started taking it, another gained almost 50 pounds in only a few months, and don't even get me going about all of our acne problems. LADIES: DO NOT USE. Aviane birth control doesn't work you could end up pregnant!!!! "
For Birth Control "I have been on many different birth controls, Ortho Tri-Cyclen, Yaz, Yasmin, Mercette, and this is by far the best. Initially when you start it, the first few months you may experience breakthrough bleeding, but this stops by month three. I usually take it around the same time every day, which prevents spotting. It has cleared up my skin for the most part, besides that occasional pimple before my period. My mood swings are the best on this pill, and there is absolutely no weight gain or off-balance of hormones where you feel the side effects of taking hormones. I recommend this birth control to anyone, but just be patient with the adjustment it takes to get acclimated to your body."
For Birth Control "Aviane is by far the best birth control I’ve tried! I was using Tri-Cyclen, and that was the worst time of my life. I was horribly depressed, moody, ovarian cysts would rupture and send me to the E.R., my acne was bad, gained 25 pounds, and my hair was falling out in giant clumps. It made me afraid to try birth control again. My doctor suggested Aviane because it’s very low dose and would better suit my body. Best decision ever. I have perfect skin, keep losing weight, NO MOOD SWINGS, plus I won’t get pregnant. It’s the best birth control out there."
For Birth Control "When I first started taking birth control, I was started on Aviane, and I really loved it. I lost weight, and I went from an A cup bra to a C cup bra in just 2 months. After a year or 2, I got switched to Lessina, and I didn't like it! Got horrible headaches, gained weight, and cramps were horrible. After 2 years of Lessina, I begged to be switched back to Aviane, and now only after 2 months of taking it, I have lost 11 lbs, and the cramps and headaches are gone. I do get tender breasts while on my period, but I’d rather have tender breasts and moodiness and cramps! Oh, and my sex drive is through the roof!"
For Birth Control "I have been on Aviane for two months now. I'll be starting my third month in about a week. I have noticed a huge difference in my appetite. I've usually only eaten a snack after school and dinner, but lately I seem to always have food in my mouth, and I eat huge amounts. My stomach is constantly bloated. My mood recently started to change, I always feel down and in an 'I hate everything' mood. I am normally a very happy, non-stop laughing person, but now it's an effort to smile. I've also experienced extreme fatigue, I have no energy for anything, and all I ever seem to do is cry. I hope none of you are experiencing this."

Previous pills I was on, Kariva, Sprintec, Orthotricyclen-ALL made me gain weight; super moody and always depressed. This pill works for me, honestly. I have zero side effects, no weight gain, my skin is so clear it freaks me out. The only side effect is my breasts grew from an A to a full B. They're still growing; I'm a little concerned, but hey, free boob job essentially! So girls, if you had a bad reaction to the pills I mentioned above, maybe give this one a try!"
For Birth Control "Aviane is the second type of birth control that I have taken. It's already been a month, and I love it. My skin is completely flawless, and I haven't experienced any side effects besides tender breasts. I haven't gained any weight either. This birth control is great!"
For Birth Control "I'm on Aviane for birth control - I don't have any kids, my skin is mostly clear, I haven't had any weight gain. It doesn't seem to help much with cramping but I only have my period every few months now anyway (by choice). Personally I haven't had a single negative side effect from this in the 3 years I've been taking it"

No headaches or side effects now. I love this stuff. I take it continuously so I don't get a period. I'm 43 and started this about 7 months ago. I should have been on it for the past 30 years!"
For Birth Control "Aviane is the second birth control I have taken, but the first that I have actually stuck to for a somewhat long period of time. I first started out with progestin-only Nora-Be, and I did not like it at all. Upon receiving Aviane, I was fairly excited to start. I heard mixed reviews but decided to start it anyway, and let me tell you, I'm glad I did. Aviane has cleared up my acne almost completely. I used to suffer from mild acne, and my skin is almost flawless. Also, my breasts seem to have enlarged. I feel like I may have gained weight due to an increased appetite, but probably no more than 4-5 pounds, which is worth not getting pregnant and having clear skin, plus I'm fairly petite. I definitely plan to stay on Aviane for a long time! Love it!"
For Birth Control "This birth control has been the best for me. I know that there are many mixed reviews about it, but it has never given me any trouble at all. I have also tried Lo Loestrin Fe, Trinessa (horrible vaginal irritation), and Ortho-Tri Cyclen, which all gave me various side effects. It just goes to show that everyone's bodies respond differently to different medicines. This birth control cleared up my acne, increased my cup size, and regulated my period. The only issue that I could complain of would be slight mood swings from time to time, but honestly that's it for me. I would highly suggest giving this birth control a try!"
For Birth Control "I have been on Aviane for about a month or so now, and I have really been happy with its results. I have been through 4 other brands of pills, and on those, I became so mean my husband and I were literally on the verge of divorce. I finally found Aviane through my OB/Gyn, and it has 100% changed my mood and behavior. I have not experienced any side effects and would recommend this birth control to anyone who has a problem with hormone imbalance causing significant problems in their life."
For Birth Control "I was scared when I was first prescribed Aviane, then I looked up the reviews! They made me extremely hesitant to try it. However, I've been on it for almost 6 months now, and I have not had 1 side effect or symptom. My body hasn't reacted negatively towards it at all! My period has shortened and lightened up! It's usually 7+ days, and I can now count on it being a solid 4/5 days long. I'm very satisfied! Everyone's body is different, and mine is in favor of Aviane! God bless."
For Birth Control "I hate Aviane. I can't even bear taking it any longer than I have been because it’s just making me feel incredibly depressed- I am in such a dark, dark place. My period has been going on strong for 11 days, coupled with nausea and tiredness. My body has changed in ways I did not want it to. If you are somebody who already struggles with mental health issues and body confidence then I don’t recommend this unless you want to feel like a completely different, 100% worse version of yourself."

For Birth Control "I was on Lutera for 6 months before being switched to Aviane due to insurance covering it. I was told that it is the same exact pill and not to worry. Let me tell you, it is NOT the same pill. I had a great experience on Lutera, of course starting was a little hard but I had light periods, high sex drive, etc. On Aviane, I was extremely depressed and had NO sexual drive at all, couldn’t finish, and felt foggy and gained like 10 pounds. I also had a pregnancy scare and missed a period cycle on it. It’s so bad. I switched back to Lutera and have been off Aviane for about 2 weeks. I already feel so much better and am so much happier. Sex drive is back to normal etc. Please stay away from this. I also found out insurance covers Lutera so I did all of that for nothing."
For Birth Control "I had taken Aviane for about 6 months straight and I did not like it. My periods were a lot longer, my cramps were very bad, and I started breaking out on my face. I also had a loss of appetite, and felt more tired everyday. I do have to say it did help in preventing pregnancy, but I did not like the side effects. I am going to see if I can change birth control."
For Birth Control "I have been taking Aviane for a little more than a year and I’ve had no anxiety or depression that I keep hearing about, honestly it did make me a bit more emotional but nothing too severe, periods are very light and come in time. No mood swings and I gained no weight. Pro my boobs grew a lot. I do recommend this pill but I think it’s different for everyone."
For Birth Control "I feel that this contraceptive has both positive and negative effects. I'm a little disappointed my breasts have not grown at all since I've been on Aviane. My moods are slightly more moody, but my cramps and periods are painless. This is a lower level of birth control - meaning it won't make you gain weight or any other negative side effects others would cause."
For Birth Control "When I first got on the pill I saw no real side effects. In the second month my period was all over the place but has regulated and become lighter and shorter since. I did see bad acne underneath my skin right after my first period but that lasted a day and since my skin has been clearer. My breasts are increasing in size. And I have yet to get pregnant. I haven't had any mood swings or depression. I still have a great sex drive and have had a great experience with this pill. Weight wise I've lost a couple pounds in the 3 1/2 months I've been on it despite my Poor eating habits. My friend didn't have a good experience after the first month and stopped. But birth control messes with hormones so it'll get worse before it gets better while you adjust."
For Birth Control "This pill Aviane works as a birth control, and it made my periods super short and super light, and cramps disappeared. That being said, there were A LOT of cons associated with this. Headaches, nausea, weight gain, ACNE ACNE ACNE (my skin was clear before this) and crazy anxiety, depression and mood swings. I would not recommend. Going to switch back to Ortho Cyclen."
