Cabometyx Reviews

For Renal Cell Carcinoma "I’ve been on Cabometyx for three years now. I was diagnosed with Stage 3 renal cell carcinoma 6 years ago that had metastasized to the bone, lung, and adrenal gland. I have done exceptionally well on Cabometyx with only occasional side effects such as diarrhea, thinning hair, and tiredness. My tumors have not decreased in size, but more importantly they have not grown. I am grateful that I, thus far, have not experienced any pain and still have a wonderful appetite. All in all, I am thankful that six years after diagnosis, I am still here and still have quality of life. I am truly blessed."

For Renal Cell Carcinoma "I was diagnosed in 2015. I have been on several different drug therapies. I have been on Cabometyx for 2 1/2 years after finding a tumor impeding my spinal cord. I am in stage 4. It has been the best drug for my situation. I am on 40 mg per day. Side effects for me were diarrhea, mouth issues, and severe joint pain. Tramadol has helped with the pain. I had an 8% chance of living 5 years. I will be starting my 9th year in June 2023."

For Renal Cell Carcinoma "Began treatment with 60mg Cabometyx. Side effects were severe in some instances: foot pain to the point that I could barely walk, acid reflux, indigestion, loss of taste, and appetite. The obvious result was I lost about 50 lbs in about six months. Not a pleasant experience, however, we reduced the dosage to 20mg. Appetite returned, along with taste, no acid reflux, minor indigestion, no foot problems. Now starting with alternating 40mg/20mg daily. My remaining kidney has small cysts but has shown no issues. Nodules in my lungs remain small. I am now into my 16th month with the drug and have learned to live with it by isolating taking it in the middle of the night, far removed time-wise from eating anything. I concentrate on alkaline foods to decrease acidity. Gained back 20+ lbs and feel normal but with some minor foot issues. The drug appears to be doing what it is supposed to do, with only minor inconveniences. Good support from Oncologist and staff helps."

For Renal Cell Carcinoma "I just started on Cabometyx this morning and was pretty scared until I found this site. The reviews gave me so much hope! I have stage 4 renal cancer and after brain metastasis my treatment with immunotherapy changed to this med. I will report back after a while."

For Renal Cell Carcinoma "My husband has been on this drug for over 2 years. It has kept the tumor from growing and has kept the mets from increasing as well. He fell and broke his femur, and they took him off it for about 3 weeks, now he has to have the entire hip joint replaced because the femur did not heal together on the rod they inserted into his bone. So he will be off of it again. We shall see the next scan to see if this off and on is going to let it do its job."

For Renal Cell Carcinoma "I have been on this drug Cabometyx for 12 months. It’s doing what it's supposed to do, but after 11 months, I started to max on toxicity. Tried to drop dosage down to 40 mg, but didn’t work well. Symptoms for me were severe body acne, including scalp, tiredness, and mouth ulcers. No problem with upset stomach, diarrhea, or weakness in joints. Tried some other inhibitors like Inlyta and IL-2, but side effects were too much, and results of the scan were not very positive."

For Renal Cell Carcinoma "I had a nephrectomy. 4/5 months later, metastasis on the right lung, by 14 months, I had full metastatic cancer of the lung, liver, and vascular stomach. I was given immunotherapy and had awful side effects, coughing up blood. I also have P.E. Then put on Cabometyx, 5 months later, I feel fine. I had initial mouth ulcers, I think from immunotherapy. Cabometyx seems to be working better than expected. I'm 2 years and 3 months since the diagnosis of a 12 cm tumor on the right kidney, thrombosis of the IVC. I had thrombectomy and nephrectomy together. Very aggressive tumors. I'm expecting Cabometyx to buy me more time as no other treatment worked. 48-year-old male."

For Renal Cell Carcinoma "I've been on Cabometyx for 4 months for renal cell carcinoma recurrence. Latest scan results show it's working, 2 nodules have now reduced - 1 by 50% and the 2nd larger one by 33%. The lesion on my neck at C4 is gone, no hot spot at all. Side effects were blisters on my feet, but increasing vitamin B supplements and using a heel pain stick have assisted greatly. I've also been taking triple immune vita gummies to stay on top of things. All my bloods are perfect now."

For Renal Cell Carcinoma "I’ve been on Cabometyx for seven months, before that I was on Kakuda. Since being on Cabometyx I have had very few side effects. I’m on the 60 mg dosage. Some of the tumors in my lungs have shrunk and some have just stayed the same size. I was diagnosed with kidney cancer five years ago this month so the treatments I’ve been taking have definitely helped me."

For Thyroid Cancer "I’ve been taking it for a month, yes, there are results, the lymph nodes have decreased, but the side effect are such that you don’t know what is better to take it or not to take it? Side effects include ulcers on the hands, skin peels off, and I feel like I am drunk, but by the end of the fourth week, the condition improved. I think my body is getting used to it."

For Renal Cell Carcinoma "I have been taking cabometyx for the last seven months very mild side effects. Oh no sign of the tumor in my lung. Thank God."

For Renal Cell Carcinoma "Mixed results on multiple mets, some higher ratings while some lower on SUV. No further progression following 4 months of therapy. Major side effects: diarrhea and minor increase in blood pressure."
