After taking Crestor a few weeks I experienced extreme pain and weakness in my right leg; painful to climb stairs and painful to walk while playing golf. After reading that Crestor can cause muscle damage I decided to stop taking it. In just a few days the pain was gone. At the next doctor's appt I told him what I had experienced and that I was not taking the drug. He was skeptical that the drug caused the pain because it was only in one leg. He suggested trying Lipitor and I reluctantly agreed. After leaving his office with samples I took one pill. By that night I was in extreme pain again so I have not had another. I do think there was permanent damage in that leg. It is weaker and aches after walking for long periods. I think there are a lot of people experiencing the same symptoms and do not realize it is the statins they are taking. The doctors don't seem to want to admit that these drugs are causing these side effects.

Yes, this does work for my muscular and joint pain. But, consequently I'm losing my mind in the process. I am weening off Cymbalta now. I informed my Doctor again, this time I decided to take my family in with me to tell him how different I am now. NOW he listened to me. (Pharmaceutical kick backs!!!) I also called Cymbalta's 1-800-545-5979, I spoke with a women about my side effects. All she could explain to me was, studies done on Cymbalta. I was frustrurated with her lack of interest or information given! So, here I am. I believe Cymbalta is dangerous.

I used both over the counter motrin as well as prescription over a period of about 5 years. It relieved my pain immediately and I trusted that it was not causing any physical damage. It am migraine free about 20 minutes after taking it. The drowsiness side effect depends how far into the migraine I take the pill. If I take it at the beginning of symptoms, I am okay.
