My dermatologist (a cancer specialist) was clear about treatment effects but did *not* mention side effects; I learned about them once they set in and I did basic online research. ADVICE: this is serious stuff. My course of treatment to date is 4 weeks of active use, then healing (estimated to be another 4 to 8 weeks). Know that before agreeing to this therapy, your life will be meaningfully impacted for up to 3 months, much of it in considerable discomfort.

I'm having a strange side effect that I have not seen posted. It's nausea but not like what others have described. Lately smells have been setting me off. Anything from gas to dirty dipers to foods and perfumes. Many many smells that never affected me before are affecting me now. Get this watching my boyfriend brush his teeth makes me want to vomit. I've changed many dirty dipers in my life and its never affected me. I used to love the smell of pumping gas now I start gagging and I have to talk myself out of throwing up. Also there is a drive in theater in town that uses unconcentrated bleach to clean their bathrooms. Used to I'd walk in and take a big whif and go emmmmm clean bathrooms now I have to cover my nose with toliet paper till im out of the bathroom. I don't know how else to explain this except just about any smell makes me gag. Is anyone else having this problem? I have also been having constant headaches that pain relievers are not helping with. One good thing

I Went into hospital for very high blood pressure, they gave me 5mg to take for 2 days. My doctor then increased my dose to 10mg which literally sucked the life out of me! I decided not to take it anymore for nearly 7 days then my doctor convinced me to continue with the drug but back to 5mg. The same side effects came back! These types of drugs are poison and should be illegal! But the big pharmaceutical companies prefer money than saving lives!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS DRUG! As of today I will be taking the natural remedy pathway and live a happier healthier life.....

It works well. I have been taking 100 mg for over 5 months and have very little side effects other than mentioned. It works well.

Horrible. It worked with reducing my blood pressure but I had really bad side effects...I am 32 and could not walk anymore without pain. I experienced severe swelling of my feet, ankles and legs. I thought I had gout or something worse and went to the Doctor after months of being like this. I had so many other things wrong with me that the feet just didn't take precedent. My joints all hurt-back, hip, knees and I was seeing an orthopedist who is sending me now to physical therapy. After reading all the reviews, I cannot help but think that my issues could very well be related to Norvasc. I also put on over 40lb since I started this medicine last February- which could be accounted to Norvasc too from reading other ratings. I had no idea how I gained all this week with working out with a trainer 3x a week and doing cardio 4 times a week.
