" Originally I was taking gabapentin which helped a little but ended up making my pre existing tinnitus much much worse. I started doing my own research as my doctor wanted to give me Lyrica or Cymbalta both of which are a big no no for tinnitus patients. I stumbled across Keppra and found a few studies done for nerve pain. I also found that Keppra is the only anti epileptic on the market without tinnitus listed as a side effect. I approached my doctor about this and she agreed to let me give it a try. I started off at 500mg twice a day and now take 750mg twice a day. It has done wonders for my nerve pain! I have managed to have pain free days/weeks and minimal pain over all with no side effect"

I'd like to slap the doctor who removed my 'ring'... sure it was hard to swallow when I didn't chew well or eat slowly, but that is much better compared to the daily dose of aciphex i'm doomed to take for the rest of my life. I truly believe these doctors get some sort of kick-back for starting people on expensive drugs and that they are interested in 'maintaining' people rather than curing them. I hate being on this pill, and I hate the side-effects, and am searching for natural methods and lifestyle to control my reflux. The long term effects of this drug have not been studied past five years, yet doctors encourage people to become dependent on it rather than help people change to a diet and lifestyle that would control their reflux naturally. Whenever I ask a doctor about control reflux naturally, I get a blank stare (deer caught in headlights), as if I've committed a mortal sin by suggesting that pills are not the ultimate answer to every malady. Hasn't happened until recently, but side effect I'm not experiencing is my head getting fuzzy/cloudy after about 20 minutes. But that feeling is better than the piercing pain of a migraine!

I'm not a huge fan of this birth control, although it does what I need it to. Usually, doctors say your body will get used to the birth control pill hormones within 3 months; however, I have almost every side effect continuously every month. It has done nothing to help with acne (if anything it's only made it worse) and the only reason I'm taking it and not switching brands is to prevent pregnancy.

I had to stop because of the side effects. I am not sure if they would have subsided after a while, but I didn't want to take the chance. I'll deal with my congestion for now.

I used to get "skipped beats" that took my breath and scared me to death every single time two or three times an hour for the past seven years. Since taking this medicaiton for the last two months, I get maybe one a day. No side effects so far.
