I started taking Singulair in September 2007. It worked great for keeping my asthma and allergies under control. However, the emotional side effects I experienced were horrible. Within a month of taking it I noticed I started to become depressed and lethargic. In December anxiety started. I thought all of these emotional occurances were due to stress. In January I became worse and started lashing out at family and friends. February and March were the worst. I became suicidal and as early as last week contemplated killing myself because I couldn't take it any more. Thank god my friend heard the news reports about Singulair and called me immediately. I have been off the drug for 3 days and I am starting to feel like myself. I urge people not to take this drug.

No side-effects... if I take it. If I neglect to take it, my overall health and well-being will suffer: I'll get pale-looking, grouchy and overly thirsty.

This drug (if you can even call it that) along with Bayer's other antibiotic from hell--Cipro--are poison. Bayer goes to great lengths to hide the fact that these horrific drugs are capable of causing PERMANENT DISABILITY. I should know--I'm one of their countless victims. Very bad side effects. Similar to every one else listed on this site. SWITCHED TO ATACAND 10 MONTHS AGO & IN A FEW WEEKS SIDE EFFECTS WENT AWAY. BEEN MUCH BETTER EVER SINCE.

I took this drug twice earlier this year for sinus infections great results and zero side effects. I was surprised this time, after day two days, to have the side effects noted to the left. I read the online literature for this drug, and it seems that when the side effects are this severe, the cause is an overdose of this drug. This makes sense, since my sinus infection this time was very mild - I made the mistake of using the big guns on it. Also, I believe some people are slow processors of drugs, and that is why many have had rashes, etc., which are severe reactions due to overdosage. If you have any of the severe side effects (read the literature), they advise you to discontinue the drug. No one says you have to finish taking a drug that is not working with your body chemistry - probably nothing wrong with the drug itself, it just doesn't work well in all situations for all people. I am a case of that. Wondering if I should stop the drug entirely until I can talk to my dr. on Mo
