Caused such severe side effects I had to do research. Would not recomend taking this drug!

Sure, it dried up the nasal drip, but the gradual unexplained development of side-effects aren't worth the problems I've had. Also, the initial effectiveness in treating the drainage was diminishing.

There were also neurological effects on Zyprexa. I would be talking and forget the word, I would confuse words, slips of the tongue, involuntary hand movements, dropping things. But Zyprexa had very strong anti-anxiety properties which started fifteen minutes after I took it, and for two months, whatever else I experienced I had no anxiety. And the antidepressant effects were also excellent,they kicked in after a couple of days and I felt great until I got hypoglycemic, but in retrospect the hypomanic aspect of the first month really wasn't worth it. Actually Zyprexa is a poison and no one with blood sugar problems or a history of such in the family should ever ever consider taking it.

A few nights ago I had a horrible nightmare which I suspected was caused by the drug. Then last night I had one of the most vivid, evil nightmares of my life. I kept drifting back into sleep and the same nightmare immediately started again. This happened 3-4 times. I am CERTAIN that this is a side-effect from Wellbutrin as I have never experienced anything like this before. Hopefully this will disappear over time (I am less than 3 weeks in) but if the nightmares continue then I am coming off the drug and trying something else. I have previously been on Venlafaxine but suffered sexual dysfunction, so wanted to try Wellbutrin as I heard there are no such effects.Also, I have suffered occassional headaches since starting Wellbutrin but these can usually be sorted with a couple of headache tablets.

All side effects were mild except for the fatigue. However they all abated after a few days. Cured my infestation which was horrid and I would have endured anything to get rid of. If you experience severe effects there are other meds. available for Giardia. And they are working on a vaccine. Hang in there.
