needed to nap during the day for the first week and there is absolutely NO sexual desire at all. Other than that there are no other side effects for me.

My son, who is almost 4, has been taking this for only 1 month. He has been acting horrible ... irritable, moody, mean, trouble going to sleep, trouble waking up, crying uncontrollably for no reason and bad dreams at night. I was at my wits end this morning and didn't know how much more I could handle with him. Then my husband found this and another website that explained some of the side effects of Singulair in children. I am positive that this is what has changed my sweet boy into something unrecognizable to me. I am stopping his 4 mg tablet today!

Of all psych meds I've taken, this one was the absolute worst. I took it for five days. 40mg, in the evening. Side effects while taking it: depersonalization and confusion, jittery and twitchy about 5 hours before next dose; Side effects after NOT taking it: six days of awful involuntary muscle twitching (tongue, face, chin, right arm), awful headache, flu symptoms, trouble talking, shaking, inability to drive or go to work or sit still, trouble sleeping, bloated stomach. I was very, very scared. Thankfully it has been 4 days since my last dose, and most symptoms have gone away, though I still have some facial twitching.

Nightmares. Sudden and severe thoughts of hurting myself/suicide. Neither the doctor on call or the pharmacist knows about this side effect. The doctor wanted to send me to the nuthouse!

Initial bad headaches, flu like symptoms, tiredness.Symptoms went away within 2 weeks except for mild tiredness which I actually welcomed as I usually have difficulty getting to sleep .Great for depression, it gave me that extra umph to get up and go .Anxiety and panic attacks subsided immensely .The side effects were harsh at first but I stuck with it as I had been on Lexapro in the past and recall the side effects were quite rough. This might scare some people off ... tough it out if you can, it's well worth it.
