Prescribed omeprozole 4 months ago, then I entered the twilight zone. Thought I was going mad. Finally clicked, came off them and made appointment with doctor who patronised me mercilessly whilst poo pooing the very idea, this was done despite the fact that by day three I was sleeping again (lying down instead of propped up on anxious sentry duty - I was that scared to go to sleep) the panic attacks had disappeared and the other symptoms had lessened greatly. Day 4 however, I became extremely light-headed with a heavy feeling in my left arm. Went to senior doctor in practice and, despite more strong denials, demanded blood tests and that the whole episode be documented and reported, which he did. To all british people who have taken this drug with similiar effects, your GP has something called a yellow card on which he can list and report side-effects from any drug, particularly side-effects that aren't recognised. Don't be put off. Demand it is used. It might well change things. The companies can't have proper figures on this if the GPs aren't reporting it. I wouldn't take this hell on earth medication again if my life depended on it!!!!!!!

I experienced some headaches but I took Aleve and they went away. I take Melatonin to help me sleep so I never had the sleep issues and the vivid dreams are not bad. I had no serious side effects.

Was on increasing amounts of Bystolic for past two years. Moved from 10 to 15 mg last increase, and then symptoms began. I realized this was the problem when my symptoms showed a consistent daily pattern, peaking at 1.5 hours and a couple of hours later, when Bystolic is strongest in the blood. Thought I was losing my mind until I read these comments discussing experiences like mine. Looking back, I also started experiencing a noticeable difference in cold fingers and toes around the time I first started Bystolic-though at the time my GP said it was a wonderful drug with no side effects--and, now learn that is also a possible side effect. So thankful to have these comments to help put two and two together.

Lethargic, Dizzy, confusion, weight gain, brief suicidal ideation.After letting some time to let it gt into my system, my hives are mostly gone, my mood is great, still occasionally conf and sleepy at times but I have noticed that I sleep better and feel more refreshed. Therefore, I am able to do more around my home. The hives, and my other chronic illnesses kept me from doing most of the things I want to do. Doxepin seems to be helping my nerve pain.This isn't a miracle drug. There is no such thing. There are going to be side effects. All I can say is that the pain I was having due to the Uticaria makes it worth a few side effects..It's also MUCH less expensive than the next step I have to try to keep this disease under control.

I have been on azathioprine for 3 yrs with virtually no side effects.
