My side effects kicked on day 2 of taking flagyl. I started having this burning/tingling sensation in my left leg and calf. On day 3 it to my right leg and my heart was beating really fast. Day 4 severe pain in left leg, heart feeling like it's going tot burst, dizzy,vaginal dryness, no sex drive, itching all over and felt like I was high. Was prescribed for 7 only lasted 4.

I thought it was fine till the middle of the third week. I had tremendous gas and my chest hurt. Bones ached and I had a fever. Horrible panic attacks, feeling like I was going to pass out. Dark urine. I would never recommend it. I was aware these were possible side effects but they said "rare"so I was only looking for rash and upset stomach. Never this .It may be fine for some people, but not me .

This drug really assisted me at a time that I was weeping all the time due to increased stress/anxiety in my work/personal life. I couldn't function in my day to day life anymore without bursting into tears. I did not want to see or spend time with anyone-was too exhausting to talk to people and pretend I wasn't feeling as low as I was. The initial effects were difficult but worth it. Changing my dose to the morning and taking it with food helped. When prescribing, my doc said it would help me 'handle' everyday life & that I would need to work thru my issues with a psychologist b4 coming off drugs. Now I have more strategies & the unusual extreme stress in my life has reduced to a 'normal' amount, I am ready to start coming off the drug. There's many online comments about how difficult it is to come off - I'm hoping that doing it under advisement of a doc & not cold turkey will make it okay. It is difficult to know if weight gain, exhaustion & low sex-drive is from Efexor - so will be int. to see what I am like post-efexor... Lately, am needing to sleep a few hrs in the p.m. & then still can't stay up late... it's become debilitating. Also, I've been yelling in my sleep over the last few months & last night punched my partner during a dream. I didn't link this to Efexor but since reading online about side-effects wonder if this will reduce as I come off it. I have been on 150 mg per day for almost a year, today was my first day at 75 mg...

I love this product, it is the only thing that can wipe out migranes, and if I have to put up with these side effects its worth not having the migrane.I have taken it for many years now, and did not get side effects until recently when I cut caffeine out of my daily routine (i used to drink alot of caffeine on a daily basis). Was relieved to find this site and realize these symptoms are likely from the Excedrin. I will definitely continue taking the Excedrin for migraines!

eveyone should be more aware of the side effects of this drug,even doctors are not always aware as i have been informed,my side effects were so serious it was life threatening,and still is i have to be monitered wkly by hospital.
