Called the Dr. and explained my symptoms they told me to remove the current patch and discontinue use and stated that a lot of patients have been having similiar complaints...she stated the bleeding I have is not considered breakthrough bleeding. Wish it would have worked for me because aside from all the side effects it was much better than remembering to take a daily pill

I have been taking Nortiptuline for about 6 months now every night. I suffer from severe migraines, averaging at about 10-11 a month.Ever since i started taking nortriptyline, i have seen a significant reduction of migraines, and when I do get them (which now I get about 5-6 a month) they don't last as long as they used to. I started with 10mgs, and slowly increased dose to 50 mgs. Every time I increased I noticed my mouth got REALLY dry, the smell of food grosses me out and I am extremely drowsy in the mornings. The side effect do seem to go away after time. I am extremely happy with the treatment and it has completely changed my life.

Its really hard for me to tell any noticeable effects from this drug as Im also on Sertraline for my depression and anxiety and also just started on Lamictal for my obsessiveness, and its hard to distinguish which drug does what, truthfully, I never thought about side effects until I did some research on Lamictal on this site, after reading others testimony I realized that Ive experienced some of the same side effects, I havent experienced a hell on earth, more like a purgatory, a feeling of helplessness in the world, an unability to better my position and I cant tell if its the medicine or if its due more to external factorsI have definitely noticed a decrease in sexual appetiteI do feel that my obsessiveness has been curbed, but not altogether halted, I dont tend to count syllables or add numbers as much, also I am socially less awkwardI needed something to stop my obsessive thoughts and it seems to have helped but I need to pay more attention to side effects to gauge this drugs efficacy, if its worth the trade off

I decided on implanon because my periods were so painful I couldnt walk around without a hot water bottle pressed to my stomach and had constant chunks bigger than sandwich pickles. For a week, sometimes two I would be house and bed ridden which was effecting my working life. I have had a dry mouth since a couple of days after the implant and the first week I did have some dryness downstairs but I added extra things like nuts to my regular diet to promote vitamin E and oils to my skin and body. With the extreme bleeding side effects I think anyone who gets implanon just so they don't forget the pill and complains is just ridiculous. With all the complications you need to be aware of what you are gambling. I had 4 periods in 6 weeks previous to getting the implant put in so I felt like I had nothing to lose by gambling on the hopes that implanon would maybe fix or regulate my already wacky and heavy painful cycle. There are plenty of other forms of contraception for those who cannot deal with the idea that it effects everyone differently and you don't just get what you want from it. It's not a present its a means to an end for those who are willing to risk the chance of those side effects.

I would not recommend Celebrex to anyone for anything, not because it doesn't work to alleviate the pain associated with arthritis or joint pain but because the side effects are devastating. It simply isn't worth it. If I can stop one person from taking this and ruining their gastrointestinal tract, believe me this is painful and could very well be chronic and life threatening, I will have done my job. DON"T TAKE THIS!
