Zithromax Reviews

For Bronchitis "The only medicine that works on my bronchitis. I've tried others and suffered more. For me, it starts working in 2 days. No side effects for me, just relief. I love it. But I really need to quit smoking. I wouldn't get it so often, get it at least 2 times a year."

For Bronchitis "Zithromax works. I see a lot of websites stating that bronchitis is usually caused by a virus. The fact is, that although the triggering mechanism that brought on the bronchitis may be a virus, a secondary infection of bacteria is common. My entire family had bronchitis for several weeks. Zithromax will get rid of it in most cases. Don't believe the nonsense that you don't need antibiotics - after a couple of weeks of this, go get some Zithromax. It works!"

For Bronchitis "I suffer from asthma and would frequently come down with bronchitis. This Zithromax is a lifesaver. I love how it helps me get over it quickly, and I am on my feet again within the week. Best prescription ever."

For Sinusitis "I am prone to sinus infections and usually get them with seasonal changes. Sometimes they come with ear stuffiness and usually with a fever, sore throat, and migraines. The exhaustion is the worst! With two small children, this time around, I had to get back on my feet quickly as there are no sick days. Well, Z-Pak works within hours, even on the pain of the sinus pressure! This has gotten me back to normal more times in my 34 years than I can count. I am extremely thankful for it because I have very few alternatives, being severely allergic to penicillin."

For Bronchitis "This stuff starts working on Day One. Within a couple of hours of taking it, I already feel like the congestion has halted and just needs to clear up. Make sure to take the whole pack, but all three times I've ever had bronchitis sneak in during a cold, Zithromax knocks it right out. No side effects for me."

For Sinusitis "It's a life saver for me. Chronic sinus problem that occurs twice a year. Slight stomach issues after initial dose. Knocks out brain fog. Had the best night sleep in months. Always take with food, and you will have no issues. Made me feel 90% better 24 hours after initial dosage. Use with Flonase to open passages to help get it all. Only thing that works for my sinus problems."

For Bronchitis "Got a regular head cold about a week ago. The cold is better, but the cough got much worse - so violent I can't talk. Went to Urgent Care - they gave me Lortab for coughing, a Z-pack & an inhaler. It's been 2 hours and I am already feeling an improvement. This is the second time in 2 years that this happens to me. I only wish that I could prescribe it to myself at the onset next time instead of trying every other medicine!"

For Sinusitis "After suffering from a cold for 8 days, I woke up with extreme pressure in my sinuses and couldn't hear due to my ears being clogged. I was prescribed the 3-day Zithromax and after one day felt so much better. The pressure went away and I had a slightly runny nose. On the second day, I could breathe without using decongestants. I haven't had any side effects, but maybe a slight pang in my stomach when taking (I usually eat something right after taking). I'm usually resistant to going to the doctor, but very glad I did this time."

For Sinusitis "Took away my ear infection but gave me nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, heart palpitations, anxiety, shortness of breath, diarrhea, dizziness, etc. So not worth it. I was less sick before starting this medicine."

For Bronchitis "Used a number of times over the years and always found it to work better than anything. 250mg capsules (6), 2 to begin then 1 per day, 1 hour before, or 2 hours after eating. Lots of coughing up phlegm but clears the chest so can breathe properly. Keep lots of tissues handy. It ought to be available over the counter, as in some foreign countries."

For Sinusitis "I have had chronic sinusitis for the better part of 10 years now off and on. It really gets bad as spring changes over to summer as well as summer over to fall. I have taken several different antibiotics over the years and the sinusitis keeps coming back stronger the next year. So I just started the 7-day Z-Pak yesterday for the first time and just took the second day's dosage. Much like most of the other reviews on this site, I am experiencing some minor diarrhea as well as flatulence. Which, in my opinion, can be a deadly combination for a new pair of white boxer briefs! I have not noticed any other side effects as of yet, but again I am only on the second day. I will tell you that I am feeling much livelier right now and gained motivation."

For Upper Respiratory Tract Infection "I have been using Zithromax for the past 6 years to fight off my upper respiratory tract infections. I have tried almost everything else in the military medical inventory to win against the URIs I get yearly (every September/October time frame) but Zithromax wins hands down every time. It does not matter during which stage of the URI you begin to take the medicine. The first or second night you will start to fight the infection hardcore and you might notice a fever develop as your body fights against the bacteria. After that, it's smooth sailing, so you feel better by the 3rd day and completely cured by the 5th day. It is definitely a wonder drug and worth the extra money."

For Sinusitis "I've used Zithromax 6-Packs for years to treat chronic sinus infections. They always work and have virtually no side effects for me. I have noticed that I need to take the treatment twice for a persistent sinus infection. Usually, one treatment does it. Azithromycin is the ONLY antibiotic that does NOT give me terrible side effects such as stomach aches, cramps, headaches, dizziness, 'brain fog'."

For Sinusitis "Was told by a doctor who specialized in respiratory infections, because his main patients were miners, that I would suffer with chronic sinus infections the rest of my life and that a Z-Pak would work, but to really wipe it out, I should use Ceftin. So if Z-Pak does not work for anyone, try the Ceftin. I get Z-Pak normally because I can tolerate the azithromycin. A little stomach upset on the day after all meds are taken (6th day), but other than that, good results... usually takes 48 hours for me to feel better since I am older and have a weakened immune system, but on that third day, much, much better."

For Sinusitis "I personally believe the Z-Pak should be the #1 drug prescribed on the market if you need to maintain your health fast & be yourself again. I seem to be prone to strep throat, severe sinusitis & respiratory infections in the fall & winter. A couple of years ago I was 'due to have surgery in 6 days' and was told 'if I was sick I would have to postpone it'. Well after waiting a month for this surgery, planning a home & dog sitter & time off from work 'working it in with everyone else's schedules, to me it was imperative I be well enough 4 all to go as planned'. '5-day Z-Pak was prescribed'. It is a no-nonsense drug and I cannot think of a single side effect. I was well enough for surgery to go on as planned."

For Bronchitis "I had the most horrible case of a bronchial infection. I was sick for almost a week. I went to the doctor, and I was prescribed a 250mg Z-pack. I began to feel better on the second day, which is where I am now. I am beginning to cough up some phlegm that was making my chest feel so very tight. So far, I am not experiencing any side effects. I do take it during a midday snack. I have rated it a 10 so far based on my personal experience. I just hope it clears this completely up."

For Bacterial Infection "Severe anxiety and nervousness, horrible diarrhea, awful stomach ache, intense nausea, freaky nightmare, horrific headache. I only took 2 pills they was 250mg a piece don't recommend what so ever. Now I'm feeling like death wondering when effects will wear off"

For Bronchitis "I'm on the 3rd day of the 5-day treatment (2 pills on day 1 and 1 pill each of the next 4 days) and have had no bad side effects when taking this medication. My bronchitis finally seems to be clearing up and I'm pleased with this medication."

For Bronchitis "For about 10 days now, I had a very bad cough and severe congestion in my lungs (coughing so much that I thought I was going to actually break a rib). I went to my local emergency room, where the attending doctor sent me home with a 'Z Pack' (5-day regimen of the Zithromax, plus a bottle of guaifenesin cough syrup). I'm now on my third day of these antibiotics and am not, thankfully, coughing as much as I did."

For Middle Ear Infections "Had strep throat and double ear infection, including one ruptured eardrum. I was so sick, but after 24 hours on Z-Pak, there was a major turnaround, with 80% recovery within 48 hours. It was much faster and more effective than Amoxicillin or similar."

For Sinusitis "I have just started taking the Z-Pak a few days ago and am already starting to feel a lot better! I have sinusitis, an earache that was caused by a middle ear infection, and so far, the pains are a lot more tolerable! Thank you, Z-Pak!"

For Bronchitis "My bronchitis was so severe that the only way I would be able to board my flight to South America in 3 days was with the Z-Pack. I took 2 pills right at the doctor's office and headed back to the office. I was in complete disbelief when, within 3 hours of taking the first 2 pills, my overall condition had improved tremendously. I am glad that I didn't experience any adverse symptoms while on it, but I know of some people that unfortunately are not able to take this medication."

For Bronchitis "The z pak cleared up my bronchitis right away. However it almost instantly caused symptoms of gastritis and pancreatis that made me very ill for five months. I could eat very little but was rapidly losing weight. My doctor found low liver and kidney enzymes and suggested futher tests. A endoscopy, colonoscopy, ultrasound, several lab tests and $1700 later there was no diagnosis but after five months i gradually got better. The next winter I got another cold that turned into bronchitis and was again prescribed a z-pak. Almost immediately the same symptoms occurred and I was just as sick for another 5 months. This time the connection was clear - Z-PAK."

For Bronchitis "I would be very careful taking this antibiotic if you have heart issues. I have mitral valve prolapse and tachycardia and this antibiotic made it worse after one dose. I asked my doctor 3 times if it was okay to take if you have heart problems and she said yes. I’ve since read that it could cause an arrhythmia issue. Well great I already have that. Thinking about changing doctors now. Definitely will avoid this antibiotic in the future."

For Upper Respiratory Tract Infection "Waited 10 days to go to the doctor thinking I had bronchitis! I wish I would’ve went to the doctor sooner because I was miserable coughing my head off with phlegm, terrible headaches, fatigue, congestion, and sweats. I ended up having and upper respiratory infection and was given a z pack. After day one I felt soooo much better and was ready to go back to work. I am on day 4 and still coughing up infection, hoping that’s ends soon! Also everyday after I take the pill I get some pretty bad abdominal pain and have to run to the bathroom but only lasting about an hour. I would say the stomach ache is definitely worth it!"
