Drug Reviews Drug and Medication User Reviews

The medication was relatively easy to use (a standard eye dropper), but it was consistently hard for me to get the medication into the pocket that you form by pinching out the skin under your eye (usually 3 or 4 drops would be wasted before I got one drop in the eye). I ended up just dropping the one drop at the outer side of my eye. Also, because the medication tastes horrid, you should pinch closed your tear-ducts after you do the drops, so that the medication doesn't go down your throat. This treatment is VERY expensive ($323 per vial at Walgreen's without a patient access card), so ask for a patient access card from your doctor prior to filling the prescription. I filled a prescription for 2 vials (for a 10-day treatment regimen, but I used less than 1 vial for my treatment.

I have seasonal allergies, they got out of control. I didn't know there are different types of pink eye. Doctor said I had bacterial conjunctivitis. I put the drops twice today and what a relief. The puffiness, and redness went away after first dosage. I will continue for the next 5 days. I didn't experience any burning when drops were applied, instead I felt tremendous relief.

After 3 weeks of use, per doctor, I developed vertigo and double vision. Ended up in hospital having all sorts of tests ran only to find nothing. I still believe the medication Zylet is the cause of my disability. It's been 7 months, several doctors and specialists later and they just shrug their heads. I am unable to drive a vehicle due to my double vision. Vertigo has lessened but I can't walk in a straight line due to the double vision.

Had a painful infection from contact lens. Removed lens and began treatment with Zylet. Pain went away after 24 hours and infection cleared up in 2 days. Continued treatment for 5 days as prescribed.

Have been using the drops for 5 days for conjunctivitis. Have experienced very severe upper eyelid and facial itching. Have taken Benedryl for itching but it did not help. Took last dose 14 hours ago and will be contacting doctor today.

Cleared up while using drops, then came back after stopping a couple of days.

diagnosed with viral conjuntivtis had only worsoning of symtems was given was what called a more aggessive treatment in the office that made eye lids peel and still no relief finally was told to wash eyes daily with baby shampoo

I was prescribed this medicine for a contact abrasion on my eye. I developed severe pain in my eye when taking it during the 5 days I was instructed to. The pain lasted over a month and I went to a different doctor for an evaluation. He said my eyes were healthy and could not explain the pain. I finally brought the medicine to my allergist, who does NAET. He tested me and I was found to be very allergic to the drug. He was able to clear my allergy to it and ease the pain. I would not advise taking this medicine, as the benefits are not worth the possible chronic head pain.

I used Zylet for 5 days to heal an abrasion from contact. Starting on day 4, I started experiencing pain when using Zylet, which intensified on day 5. I discontinued on day 5 and day 6 the pain/ pressure was awful. I has been a month and I still have pain/ pressure in my eye but the eye is healed and healthy. I am convinced that the after affect of Zylet is what is causing my chronic pain.

Extreme pain. I have more pain in my eye than before I started using these drops. It was extremely expensive and I am going to have to discontinue after only a day because I cannot take the pain. I have dry eye to begin with I believe this med is increasing the dryness and pain.

Horrible stinging and pain after drops applied to eye, made condition WORSE! Get a sample from doctor to see if you have same reaction before shelling out the $140 for this non-generic med ($60 co-pay for my insurance). 9% of Test subjects had the same reaction I did, not good odds if you ask me.

Within minutes of using Zylet my eyes stop itching, redness disappears, my allergies improve greatly. We are building a house, live in high desert country, dust, dirt, ragweeds surround me. I will never be without these drops.

it seems i had an allergic reaction, burning and rash on underside of eye lids also blisters, i only used it for 2 days

started using this for allergic scleritis after lotemax did not work. noticed improvement immediately. have had some excessive tearing, but as I have dry-eye syndrome, I don't really mind.

I have been using this medication for my 84 year old mother (1 drop each eye BID) for 2 days now and she is having extreme pain almost all day long. I notifed the doctor right away and was told to use systane before using the medication. It has not helped at all, it fact it is worse. I cannot continue putting her in this much pain and will stop the medication in the morning.....

After using this drug for my mother for painful dry eye and redness, she was in extreme pain for hours. I notified the doctor and was told to continue the drug and to moisten the eyes with systane first. I don't think I can continue putting her in this kind of pain much longer. One drop in each eye BID keeps her in pain all day long.

After 1 day of use I noticed the swelling was going away and the redness wasn't increasing it was lighting up. The second day most of the rediness was gone and the discomfort from the pain was barely noticeable. On the third day my eyes were steadily improving. The medication is working for me. My condition is much better.

Seemed to help for a while. Have gone back to eye doctor several times to get my eyes checked.

My 87 year old mother took this medication and the side of her face got red and swollen and developed sores. She stopped using the medication after that. She had only taken it for a day or two. She still has these adverse side effects and it has been 3 days since she stopped this medication.

I used this drug for 2/1/2 months without a cure.
