It really has helped. There's an anti-suicidal affect over the long term that I think has saved my ass. Frequent blood levels, then fiddling with the dose, has kept the side effects down. Also when you're having extreme side effects--something salty and a bunch of water!

stop side effects of opiate w/d

Have only been on it 2 weeks. No feelings of depression. No longer easily angered. Great that I don't have an appetite. Hope I don't develop additional side effects which would cause me to have to stop taking it.

Cymbalta seems to have alot of side effects that work opposite to its claims. I felt these almost immediately. Decided to stop. Although I did feel a tad better emotionally...I'm not sure if that's just because I was preoccupied by its side effects.

Was doing fine taking Niaspan at night 30 minutes after an aspirin, didn't have any flushing or side effects at all. Then suddenly after 3 weeks woke up with a horribly itchy, red rash all over my body and persistent shortness of breath. Called my cardiologist that same morning and was told to stop taking it immediately because I was having an allergic reaction and not a side effect. It took almost a week and a lot of Prednisone and Hydroxyzine for the rash, intense itching, and shortness of breath to completely go away.
