There are side effects, but I'd deal with them again if it meant killing pathogenic bacteria colonizing in my body. It's 7 days.

Have auto-immune something (Anklyosing Spondalitis?), have use topical drops in eyes for Iritis bouts (~8)previously, however sudden hearing loss resulted in 40mg pills with 3 week taper...The stuff worked, hearing is returning, now 1wk off meds with little side effects, BUT, the stuff helped the AS too!!! never felt better in the last 25 yrs!!, now off meds, AS sympoms back, but ear seems to be on the mend. GREAT stuff, BUT beware of long-term effects. This will come back to bite you, use only when really needed and it's a miracle drug...have the feeling that I will need it again someday, but I would rather take this than the myriad of other NSAIDs that have rotted the rest of my body in the past.

Muscle pain as if "contracted" especially in calves. Feet feel swollen, discomfort predominant in the morning. Traveling up knees and legs. No other side effects.

I went in for pneumonia and they mentioned this shot cuz of my allergies as well so I figured why not. No side affects were mentioned. It did clear me up and I have never felt so good from joint pain and can breath great BUT will never take again as side effects are to bad. Lost a week of work, a trip to see family and more. The doctor should make this clear and clearly did not. Everything you read on this drug is that it is very strong. Crazy they would give at a clinic so casually. I hope this helps someone and wish I knew beforehand. I am an advocate now t at least beware of what can happen. It may be needed but should be well thought out first.
