I would not recommend this drug. They need to take it off of the market. I took this for 4 days 2 pills per day 500mg each pill. I had so severe side effects went to my doctor on the 5th day I was supposed to take the last dose...It helped get rid of UTI but, even 2 days later after being off of it I am still experiencing side effects. Some days it hurts to even move. I hope I start to feel better soon. This has been affecting my everyday life. I am now going to reseacrh every antibiotic before taking it. I would not want anyone to endure this kind of pain!!

I sleep so well on this drug! I wake up well rested. This is the reason I was rx'd the drug-to help with my chronically fatigued joints and all-over pain. It has helpd some on the pain, but I see more of a sleep effect for me than a pain relieving effect for me. At my next Rheumatologist appointment in a week, I plan on getting off the med due to the side effects on the sex drive alone! It is very upseting to me, to the point of preferring more pain in order to have my *bursting* libido back!

It was working but the burning sensation is something i dont want to experience again i cant rate the drug maybe its a rare side effect that hit only me.

As bad as the side effects can be, this medication almost instantly snapped me out of a dangerous psychosis. Usually within a day of receiving an effective dose I began to realize that my preoccupations were 'wrong' and that I needed to be on some type of medicine in order to stay out of the hospital. I've been on both thorazine and haldol and I have to say risperdal is much better than these as far as side effects. While some of the other nureleptic drugs being offered are 'new' and 'improved', I like risperdal because it's been around long enough to tell what some of it's long term effects are. I'm glad this medication doesn't induce such horrifying disorders as Tardive Dyskinesia.

The pain in my ovaries went away but everything else went to crap. I feel awful but I have to do this treatment because my cysts keep growing back at a rapid rate. This was I can hopefully get pregnant and then have my ovaries removed. The hot flashes were keeping me up at night, so my doctor gave me hormone supplments which really havent helped. i am hungry all the time (helped with the weight gain). I guess i feel just as bad taking this drug as i did when i was having so much abdominal pain, and i would trade most of my side effects compared to having a period for 7 weeks, which i previously had done before these shots. only one month to go!! usually the day of my injection i am so sore and sick feeling that i cant function.
