Regarding the other comment I read here, you are not supposed to use it on Cold Sores. Canker sores and cold sores are not the same thing! Cold sore medicine usually contains an antiviral. Canker sores are inside the mouth. I got them as a kid whenever I drank a lot of orange juice. Cold sores are a variant of the herpes virus, so yeah, numbing it won't help."

For Aphthous Ulcer "Best thing ever for ulcers. Tried Orajel for 3 days, did absolutely nothing and only numbed the area for about 2 minutes. Anbesol keeps it numb longer and is way easier to put on the area."
