I have tried it twice, and every time I get headaches, and the vaginal dryness gets worse! What is the point of this medication I don't know. It should not even be prescribed. Oh, and I forgot to say I also think palpitations and raised bp was another side effect

My dosage has ranged from 37.5 mg/day up to 225 mg/day currently. Had significant improvement even with 37.5 but each increased dosage has been noticeably more effective. Side effects haven't been too severe for me, and mostly happen for a few days after I change dosage level, or when I miss a dose. Overall it has worked very well for me, made it a lot easier to function normally day to day. But easing off it needs to be done SLOWLY, it can be really awful if done suddenly (went cold turkey from just 75mg/day and I had AWFUL nightmares for days, felt trapped and couldn't wake up etc.)

I felt mental on this pill. I had to go home from school a lot because I couldn't concentrate, I'd get sleepy, I'd feel out of it, and I'd get dizzy. Additionally, I got so depressed. I'd cry FOR NO REASON!!! My body seriously rejected this pill. It wasn't acting normal. I was getting horrible stomach and headaches. My dreams were so vivid and abnormal, and I'd always wake up 30 minutes to an hour before I was supposed to which is weird. Additionally, I was super dehydrated/ had dry mouth. I was constantly running from the sink to the bathroom. HORRIBLE! My breasts hurt so badly, and I lost my sex drive. I hated everything that made me happy. After figuring it out it may have been the pill, I got off asap. I couldn't even finish it (I was two days short of finishing...it was THAT bad). I've been off for about 4 days. I have my period, so I'm dealing with even MORE hormones, but even then, I'm seeing slight improvement. I've talked to other women, and a ton have said they've had horrible side effects from birth control. I choose to believe that side effects this bad are not rare. I honestly owe it to my boyfriend for dealing with me. If you want to try it, then try it. Maybe you'll be lucky, but it has obviously hurt a lot of people. Oh and also, I think I haven't had too much weight gain. I ate a lot though, so I'm just lucky I guess, but I did bloat. FYI, these symptoms didn't hit me too hard until a week or two into the pack. Watch out!

At first, I experienced no side effects. However, on the third day, I began to feel a tender spot on my thoracic spine which gradually developed into generalized shoulder and neck stiffness. This was compounded by increasing anxiety and nervousness, and an inability to sleep at night. These side effects constantly increased day-by-day until I decided to quit Celebrex.
