Thank you God! I found this site when experienceing fatigue, unable to sleep, light headedness, stomach upset, bruising, etc and being told by my doctor that there is nothing wrong with me, I'm just depressed and full of anxiety. I was told there are no drug side effects. Of course there will be some depression caused by serious health issues. This is after only 2 office visits. I'm fighting for RESPECT.

I put my 9 year-old son on Singulair to help with seasonal allergies. He took the 5mg dosage. He contracted bronchitus within weeks, then he got pneumonia, then bronchitus, then strep, then pneumonia, etc. Finally, I saw a commercial that listed frequent upper respiratory infections as one common side-effect of Singulair. I took my son off it immediately, and he became a different child. He is happier with fewer mood swings and very little illness to report at all. We give him Claritin D for his seasonal allergies, and he tolerates this medicine with no noticeable side-effects. We give him vitamin C and Zinc, and he is very healthy now. I also took Singulair for asthma for awhile before my son did. I went off it when my son did, and I also had fewer upper respiratory infections. I had never made the connection before. We have stopped her Zyrtec now and are hoping that her anxiety will begin to get better. It breaks my heart to see my baby like she is. Doctors should never prescribe this to children. They do not know how to cope with these side effects.
