I am almost 10 weeks pregnant and was prescribed this on Friday. I had no idea I had a UTI and the pharmacists did tell me about side effects however said that this is the best medication avaialable considering my pregnancy.I hate it! I hadn't even been sick with morning sickness, so this medication has really taken me for a loop.

this med has a few side effects, but they are tolerable. i have to really watch driving, as i sometimes get sleepy a little more quickly than normal. when just sitting around the house, in a stationary activity, (i.e. computer work, watching a movie, etc) will sometimes "boink out" as my family describes it. i will fall asleep without feeling sleepy. one minute i'm awake, the next, i'm asleep, but easily aroused. balance problems if i am startled by something when i am walking or turning around. i will also lose my balance if i try to look in another direction (like turning your head to look behind you) if walking. however, much better than having a seizure.

I have been taking this med for 5 years. I didn't realize this medication reduces potassium levels and can cause uncontrollable muscle spasms. THAT SIDE EFFECT SHOULD BE MADE MUCH MORE CLEAR because I have had uncontrollable toe spasms at night for 5 years and haven't had a good night sleep in all that time. I stopped taking this med 3 days ago and the spasms stopped. I now can sleep without interruption.

I believe the medical community is not paying close enough attention to the potentially life-threatening side effects of this drug. Take it with extreme caution.

I am a nurse and this was the worst week of my life. I took flexeril for three days, starting on a Friday stopping on Sunday night because of the side effects. It took a week for the side effects to go away. I struggled at work with the vertigo and fatigue. Will never take again
