This drug is a disaster! The plethora of side effects totally outweigh the benefits in my view. Wake up physicians!

I have used this since I was 27 yrs. old I am now 49 and have never experienced side effects.

Severe depression especially with the generic brands. Several medical doctors told me this was not a side effect related to Claritin but I am certain it is. I have a comprehensive knowledge of psychological conditions and earned a degree in this area. After taking each pill, I feel like I have been crying all day. Furthermore, I feel like I should continue crying the rest of the day. If I didn't have a solid grip on my emotions, I would definitely experience crying spells. However, this medicine is the ONLY medication that remotely controls my allergies so I have to take it. My allergies are so bad that I'd rather deal with the depression :-(

I was ok at first on 10mg of lexapro, but then became severely depressed. The doctor increased my dose to 20mg, which caused me these severe and irritating and, frankly, terrifying, side effects. I'm much better without lexapro. I've never experienced such anxiety in my life. I've got a new appreciation for the poor people who have bipolar, I can't imagine having to live that way.

Is not being able to ejaculate a side effect?
