I first took this drug in college for severe stomach cramping due to IBS. ONE pill stopped the cramping and the symptoms stayed away for years (without being on any medication). I had blurred vision at the time. I take it now as needed (about 14 years after college) and, as far as I know, I have no side effects--other than relief from stomach cramping. If I didn't have this medicine, I'd be at the mercy of panic attacks...no doubt.

My son was on Concerta for 3 years & done great. He was maxed out with his growth spurts & dosage & it stopped working as well. Adderall made him very violent & now strattera seems to be doing that as well. We were trying to do non-stimulants but it just isn't working. I'm torn & not sure what to do. My son used to be very compassionate & loving. He liked to be funny, he loved to laugh & had a big personality but was unable to focus & finish tasks even in structured environments. Now my son is not himself & no one can handle him the way he currently is. He started on 20mg of straterra & has increased each month by 20 mg. each month the side effects become worse. His dr says we must give it time & refuses to take him off. I'm in search of a new dr. Please beware. I thought the monthly increase was going to help him & he is worse than ever.

it did its job for sure!! but the side effects were... yikes

Headache, Severe vomiting and watery diarrhea after one pill. Taking with food didn't help. 24 hours later I am still having side effects from one dose.

I went off birth control pill in November in hopes to start trying to conceive, however after 3 months of no cycle, and numerous failed pregnancy tests, my doctor prescribed Provera and I stopped my last pill on 03-12-07, still waiting for my period but looking forward to actually feeling like a woman again. I've felt so bloated, nothing fits anymore, it's frustrating feeling like this but if it means being able to start trying again, it will be all worth it. That's the only bad side effects.
