First of all I want to say that I'm very happy to have found this website. I wasn't sure why I was feeling so ill and anxious after a few days of taking this med. Initially, I didn't have any side effects that went beyond annoying but as my ten day course progressed it seemed to get worse. I think that the worst feeling was my growing anxiety and mood swings. I wish that the manufacturer had elaborated on "mental/mood changes". Last night was my last pill and hopefully I will start feeling back to normal soon. How long before you all started feeling "normal"?

I am sure Trazodone helps SOME people because I took it as a child and had little to no side effects. (At a much lower dose). When I started taking it again, I went from 50 mg to 100 mg in a few days. Once I switched to 100 mg everything went downhill. EXTREME NAUSEA and vomiting each and every morning. Groginess throughout the day was frustrating, but the groginess in the A.M. was the worst. Took me nearly 2-3 hours before I even felt slightly awake and functionable. If you have a weak stomach I would advise you to stay away from this drug. But if you can hanedle the nausea you might be alright. 50 mg didn't help me sleep at all. 100 mg helped better, but for me, the side effects were not worth it. Everyone responds differently however so I would suggest at least trying it if you need help with sleeping. Good luck!

I was prescribed vyvanse when I was a sophomore in High School, now I am studying psychology at a university and I give vyvanse a lot of the credit to where I am today. I feel that I offer useful information on it because I have been taking it for such a long time. I usually only take it during the week days to help me with my work but sometimes on the weekends as well. It not only helps me stay focused during classes and on assignments, but it seems to give me motivation for my work as well. My grades prior to vyvanse and on test days if I do not take it are significantly lower than when I do. Its calms my thoughts down a lot and I am practically not distracted by anything. It also helps me think more critically and in depth. I briefly skimmed other comments and a lot of the negative things said came from insomnia. My experience is that it lasts for about 10-14 hours, so if you take it at night it will clearly make you stay awake. At first I did have a loss of appetite but over time you develop a regular eating schedule and its no longer an issue. The only problem I really have with it is socialization. I am normally a very social person: I'm in a sorority, I love to hangout with my friends and meet new people, but I feel like I am awkward and keep to myself when I take it. At first, I did experience many of the side effects such as nausea, increased heart rate, etc. After a few months or so my body got used to it and it started working FOR me, not against me. I was on Loestrin for four months and it was a nightmare. I expereinced every single side effect, and to make it worse, i gaind 16 pounds in 2 months because of the increased appetite. I went to my doctor and was switched to Low-Ogestrel. I felt better the very first week I took it. THANK GOD. But now that I am in my third month, I have been spotting and cramping for two weeks.
