Generic Name: clindamycin-benzoyl peroxide
Brand Name: Benzaclin topical
I used this product for three days only, and it caused me huge rash spot that covered my face and nick and part of my shoulder
I am 17 yr old female and have been using benzaclin for almost two years now. It has done wonders for my skin. I still have very small breakouts every once in a while but it is no where near how bad it used to be.
I am a 20 year female, who when I was 16 used this drug to get rid of acne, I developed a rash and swelling within a couple days of use. Fast forward, to now on 11/24/2015, I developed a bacteria infection on my face causing severe acne, so I was prescribed this again. By 11/26/2015 I had once again severe swelling and a severe rash on my face. Although my acne is completely gone I am still battling the rash (today is 11/29/2015). The swelling and rash is still here. I love this product, but I would test it on a small part of your face before using it like the directions say. It is a great product if you are not allergic to it like I am. I tried multiple products from Walmart, and a bacteria cream before using this cream. I would definitely recommend a heavy duty face lotion as this product really dries your skin out. I would not use any other acne products with this product due to how potent this one is.
I have used Benzaclin three different occasions, and each time have seen amazing results. My skin started to improve almost immediately, and after less than a week my scars began to fade. Benzaclin softened my face and evened my skintone, and everyone told me my skin was glowing. I have had acne for as long as I can remember and nothing has ever worked as well as this. I have never reviewed any product in my life but this works so well, I really encourage giving it a try! I always seem to come back to this medicine, and it never lets me down.
I was in a trial group before the drug came out on the market. I wasn't sure if I was using the placebo until my face started clearing up, then, no break outs. I used it in the morning under makeup and before bedtime. This worked very well for me. I was upset when I finished my trial which lasted for a few months. I'm glad to see that this has worked for other people. When I was young I took antibiotics to keep my skin clear, then as a young adult Retin-A. This was much easier and could be used all over my face. I'm excited to try the generic brand to see if it works as well.
I wash my face with at least three different products everyday and I also used the prescription Epiduo for my acne. Other products such as Neutrogena,Proactive, Burt's Bees, Cetaphil, etc. have had no positive effect on my skin at all. I have been using Benzaclin for about three years and it is the only thing that keeps my acne at a very low minimum, with no pimples at all, hardly any redness, and just a few bumps. Benzaclin is by far the best product that I have ever used on my skin.
I'm 19 yrs old and in a matter of 4 months my skin took a dramatic turn for the worst. I broke out in millions of tiny bumps under the skin and also had red, painful acne all over my cheeks and forehead. I finally went to my derm who gave me a generic version of Benzaclin. I have been using it for 2 weeks and my skin has gotten worse, but this is a GOOD thing, I learned its part of the healing process. The tiny bumps I literally couldnt get rid of are turning into pimples. This medicine has cleaned away what was clogging my pores, making it possible for my skin to purge and heal. Tone and texture is getting better too. Don't be frustrated if it doesn't work asap, your skin needs to push all of that excess dirt/oil out before it can heal! I'm hoping for overall improvement within the next few weeks.
Had a severe allergic reaction, face swelled
I have been using this for 2 months now. The first time I used it, my face was a little red and itchy. The next day, back to normal and I haven't had that reaction again. My skin is clear, oil-free and radiant.
This does work, but lately I have been having stomach issues and I am hoping it is not from this yet it seems very much so like it is(if you have read the more serious side effects) I would be careful and do not use to much.
i have hives from this medicine,so i quit using it,face is very red itchy.
I have used benzaclin for about 5 months. It started out really well but lately hasn't been working as well.
I have been using the generic form of Benzaclin on my face and back. It was extremely difficult to find the generic form. I've been using it for almost a month and have seen no difference in my acne and have ruined several shirts and sheets despite allowing it to dry before putting on a shirt.
I am using the generic version of Benzaclin. I do have the side effects listed on this site of the itching, burning! It hurts and is quite annoying but I am sure it is going to be well worth it, I am using this along with my Retin-A gel and hopefully things will progress to get rid of these under the skin pimples I have had since highschool. Plus the new breakouts now and then..
This product has been amazing at treating my adult acne. I started getting acne as an adult about a year ago and could not find anything that would effectively treat it. It also became painful so I decided to go to the dermatologist. He prescribed Benzaclin and I found relief within two days (my acne was almost completely gone). I have been using it for three months and my skin is now clear.
I've been using Benzaclin for just about a week now, and I haven't really noticed a spefific difference. but during the 5 days I've used it, I've developed 3 HUGE/painful cysts on my face. like absolutely terrible, and goign to highschool, thats not something you want. i want to give it a good review, but i just don't see results, I might write again after I've used it longer, but right now. its preety mediocre
I am 24 years old and really started breaking out when I was about 20. I have tried everything to help get rid of the acne, and this has been the only thing that has really ever helped me. When not using the medication, I get all types of breakouts (whiteheads, blackheads, under the skin etc.) and once I get my rx refilled and start using this again, I see an almost immediate improvement. The only downside that I have found is that there is no generic of the medication, which would be more cost effective for me. But this works great for me!
I am 33 years old and started developing acne for the first time when I turned 30. Ive been using this for 2 years and my skin has never looked better. Only downside is its drying so I be sure to use a light moisturizer during the day which relieves the dryness.
I have been using benzalin for about two months, and its's worked pretty well...I can't say that i have bad acne but i did have small "under the skin" pipples always lurking(it has totally helped reduce those).I generally got bad zits around my period it has definitly helped calm those breakouts also.I still get a red bad boy here or there but it does shorten the life span. I hope this helps anyone in need i have tried close to everything and have had no where near these results.I say try it GOOD LUCK!!!
I've been using benzaclin for 2 weeks now, and in combination with minocycline, so far it's the only thing that has worked for my adult acne. Great product!!
