I've never taken anything for my ADD before this, so this might not be helpful to some of you, but so far these have been working great for me! I've only been taking them for 2 days of course, but so far while I've been on them I've been able to focus, I've been incredibly more energized and sociable,and my symptoms have become totally managable! Heck, even my depression hasn't bothered me nearly as much since I took the first one. It takes about 1-2 hours to kick in, but after that it has lasted about 12 hours. Around 3-4 P.M. I start to feel really calm (the focus is still there though), because during the day it makes me feel very energetic and talkative, but after about an hour of this down time it's back up and making me very talkative again. Unfortunately, after that part I slowly start to come down and find myself losing my train of thought, all the while starting to feel more like how I felt before I started taking it (i.e., depressed) only far less severe. Yeah, I know I'm a little too excited about this but I'm just happy to finally be able to cocentrate and not feel like a piece of shit all day :) Also, the side effects that I have experienced so far do suck, but the benefits out weigh them by far, at least for me. And many of the side effects that people have been mentioning here can be solved by force feeding yourself (not working long enough) and drinking way more water than you normally would (tightness, dry mouth, etc.).

Usually experience many side effects with medications and this was no exception. Did not give the drug ample time to see improvements for condition being treated. Will not try another SSNRI for pain.

I was unaware of the side effect of weight gain until I read the messages on this site. Initially, Requip did help, but by the end of 10 months on Requip, I was having RLS every day compared to three or four times per week before the medication. Have stopped it and will not resume.

incredibly fast & effective but have only taken 2x because of severe side effects: when took 2gm initially, as presc. w/in 1-2 hours couldn't sit upright-dizzy,muscles weary-awful. Just(1 yr later) tried 1gm 2 times, 12 hours apart only (in desperation for a quick fix) and had not as bad effects but still 1-2 hours of dramatic tremors, chills, muscle discomfort.

I hope this review helps.. I come from a family with sinus and allergy issues. Needless to say, during my time growing up, I had experienced some pretty heavy sinus pressure (cough, fatigue, soar throat, stuff head/nose) So my mom put me on Sudafed when I was in about 6th grade. At about that time, I began to develop HEAVY emotional anxiety issues which my parents thought was natural since I was having trouble making friends in school. Not so. Until yesterday, I lived everyday with an extremely rapid heart beat, anxiety, VERY fast and nervous speech, chronic insomnia etc. I had no idea that the sudafed and anxiety were linked so tightly. I figured I was just a nervous, uptight, high strung, and emotional person. Eventually I was diagnosed with depression, and after nothing helped, I quit the antidepressants and saw very little change in my mood. It was then that I began to think that MAYBE the pseudo-ephedrine (remember those crazy diet pills?) were linked to my mood. I recently (VERY recently) switched to Mucinex, which doesn't nearly help as much, but has different ingredients in it (not ephedrine). I'm doing so much better in terms of anxiety and mood. SOOOOO much calmer. The change is incredible. The side effects are CLEARLY the worst part of this drug experience
