I observe METFORMIN having three other side-effects for me:1). a mild dysthymia (ie., can put me in a mild, funky, listless, apathetic mood). Thank God for my Zoloft and Seroquel to keep my mood up.2). It dulls my sense of taste somewhat; "good" food often just doesn't taste very good. I'll sit here and gnaw on food that just seems flavorless. As a result, I find myself seeking piquant/sour flavors just to have some taste in my mouth: pickles, mustard, salsa, children's sour candies.3). It is somewhat stimulating, causing me to wake too early sometimes.

If taken properly (meaning, taking only 1 and going to sleep very soon after) it works very well. If you don't do this, you're going to experience the side effects.

I forgot to take my OTC Zyrtec one night and couldn't get to sleep - which is very unusual for me! The next morning, after just 4 hours of sleep, I sprang out of bed and felt much happier than I had the night before. This made me realize that the mild depression, irritability and severe lethargy I've been experiencing were side effects of Zyrtec! I have other health issues which have been reported as side effects of Z, but I have not gone off Z long enough to find out if those will be relieved as well. Unfortunately, the withdrawal symptoms - facial/lip swelling, head to toe stinging, burning rash and insomnia are a killer! This drug needs to be pulled now! Scary stuff!

I was given the generic form 800mg 1 pill 2x a day for 10 days. I took this medicine for 3 1/2 days. Felt nausea the first day, but taking w/a little milk helped. On third day I noticed the small bumps on my chin. I didn't realize the rest of the symptoms were all tied to this medicine till 5 days after I stopped taking it. That is when the red splotches on my legs appeared. Have had the achiness, headache, and other side effects the entire week. Saw the doctor for the severe lower back pain and got adjusted. Seemed to cure my uti in the days I took it, but would not recommend taking this drug to anyone. I was also nursing my son while taking this and noticed he had a small rash around his neck and face. That is why I stopped use. I only took it for 3 1/2 days, I can't imagine what the side effects would have been had I taken it the full 10 days.

POISON that big pharma keep churning out, directly responsible for the death of hundreds,DO NOT TAKE THS POISON unless you reall have too, doctors who prescribe this need to be updated properly on its side effects.
