I started taking this for arthritis in my hands, my doctor gave it to me when I complained the pain was keeping me awake. It does not help with the arthritis.One day when I ran out of my other migraine medication (and I have been on all SORTS of stuff for that, some worked, some didn't and SOME had worse side effects than the migraines) I took darvocet, and was surprised it worked. I will take it when my migraines are mild (or at onset), and occassionally to combat a tough one I will take two, and USUALLY that is good enough, but it takes longer than other medicines to "kick in."
only side effects were lots of bowel movements the first few days but have tapered off and now pretty regular
I didn't experience any side effects while taking the medication. It was only when I gradually decreased my dose that I got every side effect known to man. I feel like dying, crying and am full of anger. I am hot one minute and then freezing the next. I have never had the flu, but can only imagin that this is what it feels like only 20 times worse!
first, thank you for letting me know it's not in my mind! I have had heart palpitations, nausea vomiting, rise in blood pressure, and just feeling strange. also very emotional!this is all just shown up since I started taking medication. the medication works wonderfully but the side effects I just can't handle anymore.would love to hear from anyone else having these problems so I know I'm not alone.
