LOVE it! Can't wait to take it in the AM to get its effects of reducing pain on left side. It did take several days or more to go into effect.

This medication has helped me tremendously in functioning like a regular person every day. I take many drugs everyday for Treatment Resistant Bipolar Disorder and the main side effect of most of them is "tiredness". It gives me the energy I need to get out of bed and go out there and run my company and no one knows I am "sick" this way. I recently had a Vagus Nerve Stimulator (VNS) installed to try to put my BPD in remission. If it is successful, I won't have to take all of the drugs anymore, but for now, I am glad to have the Provigil to keep me awake while I still take them!

This is an update to a report submitted 11/22/09. I had previously been taking Miralax upon awakening; but have now switched to taking my daily dose in the evening. This product causes temporary diarrhea and bloating, relieved by administration of a dilute Fleet enema. It also causes increased urination, which became a challenge when driving to work. My daily weekday regimen (with the full knowledge of my family physician and gastroenterologist) now usually consists of 1-2 glasses of warm water and a dilute Fleet or 1500 mL enema - followed by 20 or more minutes of exercising to cover a minimum of 2 miles - each morning. On Saturday and/or Sunday, I start the morning with a dose of Miralax (after first drinking a bottle of Magnesium Citrate every other or third weekend); followed 1 to 2 hours later by a series of enemas, and lastly my exercise routine. Exercising has been found to increase the peristalsis, making the laxatives and enemas more effective; besides exerting a positive impact on the cardiovascular system (blood pressure, etc). The regimen, though time-consuming and not common for distance runners (who often seem to have just the opposite concerns when they compete), enabled me to complete (in under 2 1/2 hours) my first half marathon in May 2010. This product has enabled me to live a close to "normal" life and possibly prevented removal of my colon.

My daughter has been diagnoised with ADHD for just over a year now. We have come a long way with her behavior until strattera was added for consentration purposes. YES, it has improved with that, HOWEVER, it is not worth the side effects that our little girl is feeling. Her personality is NOTHING like our daughter. She is constantly getting in trouble for being verbally agressive and for doing things she knows isn't right. This has only been going on for about a month, or so....she has only been on the medicine for about 2 months...thus making me think that a lot of this is the combination of the medicines. I am going to call the doctor on Monday to see what we can do...it breaks my heart to see our daughter cry with bags under her eyes because part of her knows she isn't acting like our daughter, but she can't help herself...it is heartbreaking as a mother to see this!

I was getting crushing headaches for 2 weeks out of every month and getting them for 2 weeks straight. I get about 2 headaches a year now, and I can kick them with some Advil. Topomax ROCKS!!! Even with all the crazy side effects. I found this website because I'm wondering if you all are taking Topomax or the generic Topiramate. I'm on Topomax and my insurance company is MAKING me switch. I am very worried (unreasonably I'm sure) that I will have a reaction to the generic.
