If you r going to do this, make sure you have a support system, my fiance had to endure ALOT, but he pulled me through! Lupron wasn't for me, I started the shot when is was 18 yrs old, and for the next yr & 1/2 I felt like a 85 yr old woman. I was very healthy and athletic before the shot, days after the side effects started and cont. till 6 months AFTER I was off the shot. I also went through a withdrawl period! I had to start going to physical therapists 3 times a week for pelivc, hip and lower back pain 2mnths after 1st shot. I was diagnosed with PMDD and early signs of osteoporosis. I have been off for 6mnths and have had 2 period, and they where the most painful and debilitating experience ever. I lost one good job because of this, I am doing all I can not to lose another. Dr. wanted to do this to get me off all the narcotic meds, and I had to up them b/c of this. My only question is where do I go from here, I have had surgery, done the shot, done other replacement hormones, I

Request blood tests to be taken if you stay on Lyrica to check your blood platelet count. Research any side effect that may occur.

Does anyone know how long it takes for the side effects to subside after stopping the medicine?

Anxiety is greatly reduced, I can go to rave parties and not get sick from the flashing lights, my mood is generally stable and I am much more "clear headed", memory has gotten better, no sexual side effects for me, or noticeable weight gain. Though it hasn't fixed everything, I generally like the drug, and can not think of any big side effects because I have been on it so long, and am beginning to forget the s****y life I had before finding it. (Note: These results won't work for everyone, it was simply a good match for myself.)

I am on my second week and will not take any more pills. I have terrible anxiety and depression and do not want to leave my house. I feel like I am losing my mind. Women need to be sensitive to the effects of this drug and get off of it if they feel these side effects.
